In the first image I had highlighted the questions “Are we raising kids who are obsessed with getting A’s?” as well as “Their biggest goal is getting the next A or the next test score?” from the TED Talk “The Power of Yet”. Unfortunately, at the time my annotation skills were lacking and I hadn’t written anything to the side to suggest my thoughts on the highlighted section. Presumably, I had highlighted this section to come back to and relate to it based on comparative personal experiences.

In this image, I had highlighted the sentence “But fear of failure, whether economic or academic, can motivate both.” from the article “In Praise of the F Word”. This too, was an annotation made prior to my advancement of annotation techniques, and therefore doesn’t have any notes with it.
